Famously known as the Green City Under The Sun, Africa’s Silicon Savannah and informally as Nai, Africa’s 14th largest city and Kenya’s capital, Nairobi is the host city of the 2017 Sub Saharan International Model United Nations (SAIMUN 2017).

Straddling the edge of expansive savannah grasslands to its East and South and the Central Highlands to the North and West, the city pays homage to its rich biodiversity by having Nairobi National Park, the world’s only national park within city limits.

Home to 3 million inhabitants, the city is the region’s communication, transport and diplomatic hub.
